Biography
One of the new breed of Australian rock bands. With a big sound and deep lyrics, OutKry is like a breath of fresh air in a world of manufactured music. Formed in 2004 by founders Alx and Nick, the band was trialled under various names and session personnel until late 2005 wheh Jeff and John joined forming the four member powerhouse group.
Very much a guitar driven sound with power ballads and a sense of hope in most songs the band appeals across all cultures and ages. Subject matter ranges from love, politics, depression, youth issues, faith and hope.
The band's first single Crash And Burn was quickly picked up by Asian music video channels and captured a growing following in nations as diverse as Indonesia, Thailand and Japan. Meanwhile, in Melbourne the band was being road tested for the anticpated world tours ahead.
Hardrush signed the band in January 2006 in what was the biggest investment in any artist to that point in time by the growing indie label. Since then the band has made numerous music videos, singles and the release of the critically acclaimed CD "In This World". Hardrush management see OutKry as the leading force in the resurgence of rock music not just within Australia but with international ramifications and sales.
