This CD includes classic blues from legendary songwriters such as 'Deep River Blues (Doc Watson), 'Death Don't Have No Mercy' and 'Light Of This World' (Rev Gary Davis), 'Shingle By Shingle' (Eric Bibb), 'Bright Lights Big City' (Jerry Reed), When The Levee Breaks (Memphis Minnie & Kansas Joe - not the Led Zeppelin cover version) and 'Chump Man Blues' (Blind Blake).
With both musos having a strong bio in blues it not surprising that the synergy and style come to the fore in this CD. Pete provides vocals, guitars and percussion, whilst Steve is one Australia's finest dobro and lap steel players. Pete was formerly with blues-rock "Texasradio" and Steve with the acoustic "Blueroots" band.
Guest performers include members of Out Of The Blue (Karen Parr, Mandy Bass, Margaret Stratton and Marta Stobbie) for backing vocals, Bob McGowan (additional guitars and vocals) and Graham Derbyshire (bass guitar).
